We are very aware that our activities have an impact on the environment. This, together with our firmly held belief in the cause, means that we feel obligated to prevent and reduce the impact on the surrounding environment as far as possible.
Nature as a location
As the company’s oldest base and the heart of Wanzl, the Leipheim site plays an enormously significant role – in strategic and social terms and when it comes to environmental policy. Near to the Swabian ‘Donaumoos’ bog with its unique flood-land habitats, the well-being of the humans, flora and fauna in the area is a key consideration for us, just as it is at all our other bases around the world.
Forward-thinking
Quality is the foundation of the Wanzl brand. But for us, it also means that we fulfil our responsibility to society and future generations. We do this by maintaining our production facilities at the latest technological level and thereby reducing the environmental impact as much as possible. This includes maximising efficiency in the use of power and raw materials and eliminating emissions of any kind wherever possible. “TÜV Bayern” (the Association for Technical Inspections) already confirmed the application of a functioning environmental management system at Wanzl in 2004, which constantly improves our services to surpass the legal requirements.
